I received my MSW from the University of Michigan in 1992. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Additionally, I have completed 4 years of post-graduate clinical training in Psychoanalysis from the New Jersey Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis.
I have worked as a psychotherapist since 1992 providing individual, couples, family and group therapy. Additionally, I was the Vice President of Programs and Services for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Paramus, NJ. I worked at Children’s Aid and Family Services in Ridgewood, NJ as a psychotherapist, ran psychosocial groups in middle schools, provided short-term therapy through their Employee Assistance Program and crisis intervention for employees of various businesses. Following my graduate training at the University of Michigan, I worked at Family Service and Children’s Aid in Jackson, Michigan, providing psychotherapy to adults, teens, and children. Additionally, as Director of Born Free, I ran the intensive outpatient substance abuse program for pregnant and newly delivered women. During my undergraduate work at the University of Georgia, I worked at an organization for battered women, providing crisis intervention and assistance to women in abusive relationships. I have provided clinical supervision for other therapists and have had a private practice since 2000.
I now work full-time in private practice. My style is warm and non-judgmental and I am sensitive to the needs of individual patients. With almost 20 years of experience, I have the skills to help people work through difficult issues.
